This gallery defines Touching the Light. It is where it all started, with sensitive and responsive photography made in the mountains of Britain.
Place always was unimportant, and so to a degree was photography. None of these images was made with a pre-conceived purpose or location; all happened whilst “just out for a walk”. Of course, that means being tuned in and present, aware of the mountain environment and all that it brings.
It is why I distinguish between being an outdoors person first and being a photographer; photography is an integral part of being in the hills, not a thing in itself.
