*Booking is Open for Manzac d’en Bas, October 9-15 2019*
We’re thrilled to be returning to Manzac d’en Bas in the French Ariège département in 2019, this time for the first time in October.
Our usual Spring visits to the Ariège offer fresh greens, snow on the Pyrenees, orchids in profusion in the meadows and local culture bursting into life. All great reasons to love this rural and largely unexplored area of southwest France.
But when I first travelled to Manzac d’en Bas to meet hosts Giles and Louise, it was in the Autumn. And what a treat it was to experience golden colours in the Arize valley and up in the mountains, at Etang de Lers and Lac de Bethmale in particular.
Our workshops are an introduction to Mindful Photography.
Mindful photography, (which you might also see referred to a Contempative or Responsive), is primarily concerned with our perception of how things and experiences are, right now and in the moment. By clearing our minds of other thoughts and judgements and of the labels by which we know things, the world appears once more fresh and exciting for what it is, whether ordinary or beautiful.
