A huge thank you to Steve Smith and the crew of Shoreham RNLI Lifeboat Station for allowing me the privilege of being out on the Tamar class ALB with them for their regular training exercises last Wednesday night. Which in turn was a thank you from them for my/your fundraising efforts on Coast17. On a cool, flat calm sea, I watched trainees working with tow ropes, anchors and flares off Shoreham.
Trying very hard not to be in the way, lighting conditions for photography were challenging, to say the least. I did grab a few snaps, but not at the expense of the experience.
The RNLI does fantastic work and is entirely funded by donation. Please support them by following our sponsorship link at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/coast17 (Shared with Parkinson’s UK)
