DAY 35 – Llangennith to Llanelli
A real shame to leave Gower after what was, for the most part, another marvellous walk. Continuing to the end of Rhossili beach and over the dunes to Whiteford, I saw not a soul for two hours of pristine sand (and a lamentable amount of jetsam, which makes me even more committed not to throw away drinks bottles!)
And then I met Mary again. I chatted with her yesterday on the cliffs, and today she was off to walk down to Whiteford lighthouse for her daily. She’s nearer 90 than 80 – her words. Isn’t that an inspiration.
The last three hours was all on tarmac, and an uninspiring slog round over the bridge at Loughor and back to the ‘mainland’.
I shall leave it to another time to rant about the campsite I’m on …
