Day 31 – Llantwit Major to Porthcawl

Stunning walking under warm blue skies on the Heritage Coast cliffs from Nash Point to Ogmore. Interesting to pass through Dunraven where recently both Dr. Who and Poldark have had shoots.

Then came the customary 6km diversion to cross a river twenty feet wide at Ogmore, and a push through huge crowds of Sunday seasiders in Porthcawl. When you’re expending big energy on a big walk it’s hard to resist the smells of burgers and pizzas, but it is easy to want to get out of there as fast as possible. I guess it won’t be the last time …

Makes a change to be pitched up in the warmth getting the dewy tent dry. Even my towel has dried after my shower – I know where it is, you know.

Tomorrow promises a picturesque start. Then it’s Port Talbot …
