Day 3 – Selsey to Southbourne

Tiring day today made more so by a really irritating stretch through Bracklesham Bay – either keepout private estates or heavy shingle. Much nicer up Chichester Harbour though.

Met a really interesting guy Tim who was clearing rubbish out of the coast realignment reserve at Medmerry. He’d collected eight sacks this weekend from one ditch and 138 sacks in the last few months, all waiting for someone with authority to pick them up. He’s a volunteer …

On to Portsmouth tomorrow. Once out Sussex it will feel more like progress. 1/80 done!
