Day 13 – Seaton to Exmouth
A bit late posting today – and some of you will find it hilarious that I spent the evening at a camera club competition!! Just can’t keep away … I’m staying over with Ian and Elaine in Exmouth; thanks guys, it is so appreciated.
I woke out of my abandoned camp field pretty early amid sounds of amorous owls but had no pace at all until an all day breakfast in Sidmouth sorted me out. Also in Sidmouth I found the only person so far manning a lifeboat station – and he said they are not even RNLI; they are independent. Maybe lifeboat stations are like cheese shops …
Good pace through to Exmouth, spurred to move by incessant gunfire near the industrial scale caravan parks. And the best thing was that over today’s many climbs, nothing hurt. Maybe I’ve walked my bad knee into submission.
Easier day on the flat tomorrow around the Exe estuary.
